12/18/2006 · My mother-in-law just bought an ’89 Jeep Cherokee Leredo. She can’t get the 4WD to engage . She has tried to put it in 4Lo stopped in neutral, but it won’t engage . She should’ve bought a straight drive so all she’d have to do to put it in 4WD is push the clutch in, lol.
